These distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, hitting hard on October 16, 2023, affected critical websites and drew attention to the growing threat of cyber warfare.<\/p>\n<h2>Response to the DDoS Attacks<\/h2>\n<p>Hackers launched a series of <a href=\"https:\/\/secry.me\/explore\/cyber-security\/\">DDoS attacks<\/a> on Belgium&#8217;s digital infrastructure in a repeated assault, flooding and saturating Belnet&#8217;s network.
